Sustainable Tourism

The heart of impact measurement guiding the sustainability space parameters will precisely acquire data necessary to satisfy both community and investors alike. Assessment of each community potentially benefiting from sustainable impact solutions is essential to enhance, not displace current economic structures that are in place. The Eco Condoshare solution develops centers to monitor several factors designed to foster sustainable impact plans for specific regions. Once implemented, the same measurements may become more detailed to assess food intake rates, waste diversion weights, and other critical home economic measures to reduce the level of natural resource loss and increase community wellness.

Of the 17 SDG key performance indicators, the following are significant for sustainable living outcome evaluation.

DISCLAIMER: Some indices have evolved or have been added and may not be included.

1. Poverty headcount

2. Prevalence of Undernourishment % of population

3. Life expectancy at birth (number of total years)

4. Improved water source (% of the population with access)

5. Access to electricity (% of the population)

6. Share of youth not in some form of education by percentage

7. Broadband subscriptions per 100 inhabitants; research and development expenditure

9. CO2 emissions per capita

10. Redlist index – changing biodiversity weighed against areas with most waste extinction risk

11. International concessional public finance for high to mid-level income countries, Government revenue percentage, and subjective well-being average score.

UNSDG sustainable tourism indicators are included factors monitored by precision engineering systems.

Economic

  • Seasonality (percent of establishments open all year, bednights per month)

  • Economic benefits (tourism on GDP number of tourists, the average length of stay of tourists, establishments using local product, etc.)

  • Employment (total economy, employment by qualification)

Social

  • Tourist satisfaction (% of tourist satisfied, % of return visitors)

  • Local satisfaction (% of resident satisfaction with impact and tourist destination)

  • Pressure (Tourism intensity, tourism density, occupancy rate)

  • Accessibility (% of disability accessible rooms)

Environmental

  • Environmental management (% of establishments providing environmental training to employees, % of establishments with certifications, % of tourist using different means of access, etc.)

  • Energy management (% of establishments with low consumption systems, % with energy reduction goals, direct energy consumption, etc.)

  • Solid waste management (% of establishments separating waste, solid waste attributed to travel)

  • Water management (% taking actions to reduce water consumption, % use recycled water, % of controlled and good quality bathing water, etc.)

Measurement challenges

Collaborative solutions for social and environmental disparities include using the measures to equip surrounding businesses with the proper data to make suitable modifications to existing supply chain and distribution systems. Economic and cultural interactions pair business analytics with smallholder farmers and tradespeople to immerse visitors in cultural experiences and directly stimulate the community's economy. According to officials of trade and tourism from the pacific community, trade and tourism governance must finance sustainable measurement instruments. Lack of evaluation equates to an inability to manage sustainability efforts.

Understanding tourism impacts provides crucial information for decision-making, providing more opportunities for companies' sustainable growth. To support sustainable business policy should focus on innovative infrastructure, programs, and services to hasten surrounding community benefit. Sustainable projections for lasting benefits for the social, economic, cultural, and natural aspects of the regions must have plans for operation longevity. Finally, a mechanism to access data from multiple sources is required to improve sustainability efforts.

Regionally based adjustments to solutions refine sustainability measurements to meet the idiosyncrasies of each area. Businesses implementing sustainable tourism must ensure the financial strength level of adaptability necessary to modify the elements in an agile implementation process. A cumulative approach to studying the performance of the impact of sustainable companies will justify the necessity for such programs. As a sustainable hospitality company, such a system is warranted to remedy the areas of society that needs assistance.
